Role: Visual Designer · Event Planner · Video Editor
Organization: Vanke Meisha Academy (VMA)
Years: 2022 & 2023

The Vanke Meisha Gala, also known as “Ode to Joy”, is the academy’s largest annual performance event celebrating creativity, art, and community. Each year, students and teachers collaboratively produce a full-scale bilingual show that includes music, dance, theater, and multimedia storytelling.
I served as part of the planning and design team for two consecutive years (2022–2023), where I took charge of visual identity design, promotional content creation, and video editing. My contributions included:

The 2022 theme (“Ode to Joy”) was inspired by childlike wonder and playfulness, expressed through vibrant, cosmic-style visuals. The 2023 edition, themed “Once Upon a Time”, shifted toward a more poetic and painterly visual direction, using surreal landscapes to evoke the passage of time and emotion.
Through these projects, I learned how to translate abstract themes into cohesive visual storytelling, balance aesthetic design with large-scale coordination, and communicate across teams to produce an immersive experience for over 1,000 live attendees.
