The VMA Student Union 6.0 Recruitment Interviews served as the annual selection event for new members, jointly organized by the executive committee and departmental teams.As the Vice President and Head of the Public Relations & Design Department, I took full responsibility for event planning, interview structure design, on-site coordination, team scheduling, and all publicity and communication materials.

Planning & Coordination

  • Independently designed the complete interview framework, including scheduling, multi-room flow, and interview structure.(Detail)
  • Authored official guidelines such as the Interview Procedure Manual and Waiting Room Protocol to ensure smooth transitions between time slots.(Detail)
  • Oversaw venue setup, candidate guidance, data recording, and confidentiality of results.

Execution & Management

  • Coordinated interview schedules across three departments (Secretariat, Rights & Welfare, and PR & Design).
  • Led four rounds of interviews over two days, serving as the chief interviewer for the Design Department.
  • Supervised digital communication and note documentation through DingTalk for efficient real-time coordination.

Branding & Publicity

  • Directed the visual and communication design of the recruitment campaign — including digital posters, announcements, and the Departmental Trial Period Guide.(Detail)
  • Developed a unified visual identity system to enhance the professionalism and structure of Student Union 6.0’s public image.

Evaluation & Selection

  • Created a structured trial period rubric assessing creativity, design execution, collaboration, and communication skills to ensure fair and consistent evaluation.

Outcomes & Impact

  • Successfully organized a two-day, eight-session recruitment event involving over 50 candidates across three departments.
  • Standardized the entire recruitment process and documentation, establishing a replicable operational framework for future cohorts.
  • Strengthened the PR & Design Department as the Union’s key public-facing branch and implemented a new evaluation and training system that enhanced organizational cohesion and professionalism.
