Position: Vice President · Student Union 7.0 · Stu. Rights Department
Date: 2023-2024
Location: Vanke Meisha Academy
Meisha Talkfest is VMA’s flagship student-rights and community-dialogue program, created to bridge communication between students and the school administration. The event empowers students to voice their concerns and co-create actionable solutions with faculty and school leaders.
As one of the core organizers and moderators, I coordinated both the Pre-Talkfest and the official Talkfest, working across the Student Union’s departments to design a multi-stage feedback and problem-solving system.
Key Responsibilities
Program Design & Structure – Co-developed the two-phase framework of Pre-Talkfest → Formal Talkfest, which collects feedback through surveys, preliminary meetings, and structured discussions to identify key campus issues.
Survey & Data Management – Led student-wide data collection on academic, boarding, and campus-life concerns; synthesized and classified over 100 submissions through the Union’s Stu. Rights Center and internal OA system(Detail)
Discussion Facilitation – Moderated small-group and full-scale sessions between students and school administrators to transform survey findings into feasible proposals.
Documentation & Publication – Oversaw case documentation using standardized Stu. Rights Case Reports(Detail)coordinating website and WeChat updates to ensure transparency and accountability.
Outcomes & Impact
Enabled > 80 student participants to share structured feedback, leading to 20+ actionable proposals later reviewed by the principal and department heads.
Standardized the student-rights feedback workflow, now adopted as a long-term mechanism within the Student Union.
Strengthened campus communication culture by linking open discussion (“From discussion to action, we ignite.”) with real institutional change.
