Motorbike Design
Final Effect

This project was created in Autodesk Maya as part of a transportation design assignment, where each student was asked to conceptualize and model an original vehicle. My work, titled Dream Vehicle, reimagines a futuristic motorcycle that merges mechanical precision with playful imagination.

Inspired by the idea of mobility in dreams, this motorcycle represents a balance between technology and emotion. Unlike traditional motorcycles that emphasize speed or power, this one embodies the concept of exploration and creativity. Its soft pastel palette—pink, teal, and yellow—contrasts with the industrial structure, transforming the machine into something more whimsical and approachable.

Final Effect

The process began with sketching and analyzing real motorcycle components, followed by detailed polygon modeling in Maya. Every part—from the turbine engine to the layered pipes and cables—was modeled from scratch, ensuring both visual complexity and structural logic. The “DREAM” sign on the body serves as the core symbol of this project: a reminder that design can be both mechanical and emotional.

During the modeling process, I explored how mechanical design can express personality. The curves of the handle and body give the vehicle a human-like posture—flexible yet steady. The pastel surfaces and rounded forms evoke a childlike curiosity, while the intricate wiring and gears highlight the precision of industrial aesthetics.

Through Dream Vehicle, I learned to manage complex topology, hierarchy organization, shading, and rendering in a 3D workflow. More importantly, I discovered how transportation design can go beyond utility—becoming a narrative of imagination, emotion, and identity.

Ultimately, this work represents my vision of what “movement” means in the modern era: not only the act of traveling through space, but also the journey of creative discovery.
